THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION RULE E3


Rule E3(1) A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act

in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a

combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or

insulting words or behaviour


Rule E3(2) In the event of any breach of Rule E3(1) being proven to be motivated by, or aggravated

by any reference to, any one, or a combination of, ethnic origin, colour, race,

nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability (an “Aggravating Factor”), a

Disciplinary Commission shall consider the imposition of increased penalties. Where an

Aggravating Factor has been accepted or proved, any suspension and/or fine shall be

doubled for first such offence and trebled for a second such offence. Any subsequent

such offence shall give rise to consideration of a permanent suspension."
