Background to the West Kent Sunday Football League

The West Kent Sunday League was formed in 1967. The League is a Sunday morning Association Football (Soccer) league for adults.

There will be (2010 - 2011 season) 54 clubs fielding a total of 63 teams every Sunday. There are around 2,000 registered players.

The League is fully affiliated to the Kent County Football Association. It is open to clubs within a 20-mile radius of Tonbridge, Kent, UK.

A majority of the clubs are based in and around Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and Crowborough.

The markers in the map show where our clubs are based. The larger towns (above) have several clubs based there.

The more distant clubs include Biggin Hill, Cranbrook Town (based in Benenden), Dormansland Rockets, Green Street Blues (based in Orpington) and Her Majesty’s Prison at Blantyre House near Goudhurst.

The League is administered by a Council, which is elected by the member clubs.
